Women's Swim Team Tops Williams Baptist On Senior Day

Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles captured a 124-60 win over Williams Baptist University Saturday at the Clarksville Aquatics Center on Senior Day.

It is the second win of the season over Williams Baptist. Prior to the race, the program honored seniors Jacquelyn Gearhart and Jacob Jones as part of Senior Day. The Eagles set a new program record in the 400 free relay swimming a time of 4:01.90. The relay team consisted of Skylar Frazier, Catherine Wellborn, Shalley Coffin and Rosie Wade. Saturday's time was six seconds faster than the previous record. The swim meet also had historical significance as Dawn Hampton competed in the program's first-ever diving competition. Hampton scored a 107.25.

The Eagles posted a time of 4:42.69 in the 400 medley relay. In the 200 free, Coffin swam a 2:18.62 for third place. Coffin swam a 35.11 in the 50 back. In the 50 breaststroke, Frazier (36.69), Veronique Duvivier (38.72) and Gearhart (40.45) finished first, second and third, respectively. In the 100 fly, Wellborn placed third with a time of 1:09.89 and Frazier followed with a time of 1:27.49. Wade won the 50 free swimming a 26.12. Gearhart swam a 32.61 for fourth place. Wellborn placed third in the 100 free swimming a 1:00.51. Gearhart swam a 1:13.37 for sixth place. Wade swam a 1:06.12 in the 100 back. Frazier swam a 1:20.23 in the 100 breaststroke. In the 500 free, Coffin placed first with a time of 6:04.41. Wade won the 50 fly with a time of 28.70. Wellborn swam a 1:13.65 in the 100 IM.
