Swim Records Continue To Fall On Day Three Of Conference Championships

Nicolas White broke a school record at the SCAC Championships Friday.

San Antonio, Texas – Program records continue to fall for the Eagles at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swim Championships in San Antonio. 

After day three, the men's team sits in fifth place, while the women are in seventh place. The Eagles continue action at the SCAC Championships tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.

In the women's 100 fly, Catherine Wellborn place 12thwith a time of 1:06.09. In the 100 breaststroke, Skylar Frazier placed 15thwith a time of 1:18.50. In the 400 medley relay, the team of Rosie Wade, Frazier, Wellborn and Shalley Coffin set a program record with a time of 4:27.96. 

In the 400 IM, Nicolas White and Nicolas Dunsworth placed 12th and 13th, respectively. White set a new school record (4:36.83), while Dunsworth posted a time of 4:38.85. Josh Collins set a school record in the 100 fly with a time of 53.41 and placed tenth overall. Nicolai Van Zyl set a school record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.50 for 15thplace. Michael Walkine finished 16th with a time of 1:04.51. In the 400 medley, the team of White, Van Zyl, Collins and Jones placed fifth with a time of 3:44.02 in the "A" final. In the "B" final, Bailey Butler, Dunsworth, Gustavo Almaraz and Walkine swam a 4:02.62 for 13th place.
