Women's Swim And Dive Breaks records At DSU Thanksgiving Invite

The women's swim and dive team broke several records at the DSU Thanksgiving Invite.

Cleveland, Miss. - The women's swim and dive team competed in day one of the Delta State University Thanksgiving Invite in Cleveland, Mississippi on Friday.

The morning session included the prelims while the evening session featured the finals. Diver Brianna Devlin broke more school record at the event. And Jessie Wright broke a record and then followed up by breaking that record.

Devlin first broke a school record in the 3-meter 11 dive set scoring 348.10 in the prelims and then scored a 350.65 in the finals to break the record again.

In the 500 free prelims, Natalie Naramore swam a 6:09.51 for 17th place. Isabel Shelton placed 21st with a time of 6:32.94. In the 200 IM prelims, Jessie Wright broke a school record with a time of 2:20.74. That time placed her 12th. Chloe Weathers had a time of 2:30.22 for 14th place and Riley Holcomb had a time of 2:35.20 for 15th place. In the 50 free prelims, Faith Coffin finished 18th with a time of 27.10. Arianna White had a time of 27.78 for 21st place, Haley Howard had a time of 34.11 for 30th place and Kylee Booher had a time of 35.80 for 31st place. The Eagles posted a time of 1:48.78 in the 200 free relay of the finals. In the 'B' final, the Eagles posted a time of 2:02.26. In the 500 free of the finals, Naramore was 17th with a time of 6:04.89. Shelton was 20th with a time of 6:17.46. In the finals of the 200 IM, Wright had a time of 2:20.13, which broke her own record. Weathers had a time of 2:30.70 for 14th place and Holcomb had a time of 2:34.66 for 15th place. In the 50 free finals, Coffin posted a time of 27.07 for 18th place and White had a time of 28.08 for 22nd place. In the 400 medley relay, the Eagles had a time of 4:27.51 for fifth place. In the 'B' final, Ozarks posted a 5:08.98. In the 100 fly of the time trial, Wright had a 1:03.88. The Eagles had two teams in the trials of the 800 free relay. Team 'A' had a time of 9:19.47 and team 'B' had a time of 10:11.83.

The Eagles will continue to compete at the Delta State Thanksgiving Invite Saturday and Sunday.
