Marshall, Texas-The women's tennis team posted a 7-2 win over Centenary College Friday morning and then suffered a 9-0 loss against East Texas Baptist University later in the day.
Against Centenary (0-14), Kayla Tucker and Paige Myers won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Imani Doyle and Olivia Allard won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles. In singles play, Tucker won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 1 position. Myers claimed a 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles. Doyle won 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 3 position and Allard defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. In conference play against East Texas Baptist (11-4, 2-1 ASC), the Tigers swept each match.
Ozarks moves to 4-9 overall and 2-2 in the American Southwest Conference.
Ozarks will face Belhaven and Southwestern University April 16 in Shreveport.
