Abilene, Texas-The women's tennis team competed in the American Southwest Conference Individual Tournament over the weekend in Abilene, Texas.
Head Coach Cullen Dees was pleased with his team's effort.
"It was a great weekend for everyone on the team," said Dees. "We played a lot of matches and did well. We had some tough first round matches, but I was really proud of the way we battled back. We competed throughout the weekend. I think we are ready for the ITA tournament."
Freshman Madison Sieber won singles consolation flight #3 for Ozarks, defeating Sarah Sedory from Mary Hardin-Baylor 6-2, 6-4. Andrea Munoz finished sixth in singles flight #5. Kristin Swafford advanced to the consolation finals in singles flight #8.
Ozarks will travel back to Abilene, Texas, for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament September 23-25.
