Women's Tennis Team Competes in Collin County Tournament

Plano, Texas-The women's tennis team competed in the annual Collin County Tournament, hosted by Collin College in Plano, Texas. A number of universities attended this event including Newman, Jacksonville College, Arkansas Tech, Harding, and Texas Dallas.

On the women's side, Imani Doyle lost to Katie Harris of Arkansas Tech, 6-1, 6-3 in flight 2 singles. She then won her first consolation round match by topping Mae Covacevich of Texas Wesleyan, 8-6. After given a bye in the quarterfinal consolation round, she lost to Diana Budnick of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, 8-3.

In doubles, Corona/Doyle came close to a first round consolation win, but fell short to Emily Faulkner and Jordan Shaw of Harding University, 8-6.

The Eagles will resume match play during the 2018 spring season.
