Austin, Texas-The University of the Ozarks women's tennis team had a tough weekend of play in non-conference action in Texas.
The Eagles dropped their match against Howard Payne 9-0 and then lost 9-0 against Concordia University Texas on Saturday. Against Concordia, Lexy Corona and Imani Doyle were defeated 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. The duo battled again against Howard Payne, dropping their No. 2 doubles match 8-5. Karlee Hart lost at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-4 against Chesney Goza from Howard Payne.
The Eagles came back Sunday and dropped their match against Texas Lutheran University 6-1. The Eagles displayed strong effort at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Hart and Alexis Rogers lost 8-5, while Corona and Doyle narrowly dropped their match 8-6.
The Eagles will play in Conway against John Brown University and Hendrix College February 17.
