Jackson, Miss.-The Eagles picked up their second American Southwest Conference win in the last three tries with a big 5-4 victory over Belhaven University Saturday.

The Eagles picked up two wins in doubles. Alexis Rogers and Alexandria Corona posted a 8-6 win at the No. 1 position. Karlee Hart and Kirsten Endicott had a 8-1 win at the No. 2 spot. In singles, Rogers, Corona and Hart all had wins in singles to pace the Eagles. Rogers won 3-6, 6-3, 6-0, while Corona won 6-2, 6-0. Hart posted a 6-0, 6-0 win.

"We are playing well heading into the conference tournament," said head coach Jeff Kutac. "After taking a 2-1 lead in doubles, we have been continuing to improve and it is really starting to show. We had several great efforts and results today, but it came down to a pair of freshman to clinch the match for the team."

The Eagles will now await their seeding for the ASC playoffs.
