Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman Annie Nelligan was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Women's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the ASC Office Tuesday.

Nelligan, from Fort Smith, Ark., posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles and a 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles against Belhaven to help the Eagles clinch a spot in the post-season. Nelligan teamed with Kaitlin Gutierrez in her doubles win. Nelligan has played the No. 2 and No. 3 position in singles all season and has posted five wins. She has played No. 1 doubles in eight matches.

Nelligan and the Eagles will take on Hardin-Simmons University April 28 in the ASC Championship Tournament.
