Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks junior Hannah Smith was named the American Southwest Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (April 10).

Smith, a native of Blue Eye, Mo., ran her fastest time and an ASC-best 12:05.08 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to place second overall Little Rock Open Saturday. Smith also placed seventh in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:09.32. This is Smith's second Athlete of the Week award in her career.

Ozarks will travel to Conway to compete in the University of Central Arkansas Open April 13-14.
