Bristol, Tenn.- The women's wrestling team traveled to Tennessee for the King University Tornado Open Sunday and had a pair of placers at the competition.
Rewa Chababo won her weight class, while Ilee Basaldua finished third in her class. There were no team scores taken at the competition.
Chababo won by fall over Brittney Reed (Emory & Henry) (Fall 1:38) in the first round. She then won by decision over Cristina Santoyo (Emmanuel College) (Dec 2-1). In round three, Chababo won by fall over Yamilex Perez (Adrian College) (Fall 1:26). Basaldua won by decision over Isabel Worthing (Adrian College) (Dec 10-8) in round three.
The Eagles will travel to Poteau to take on Carl Albert College January 19.
