Cross Country Team Opens Season In Fort Smith

Fort Smith, Ark.-The women's cross country team opened the 2014 season at the Platinum Buffalo Cross Country Festival Saturday in Fort Smith.

The Lady Eagles finished third at the race.

In the women's 5K race, Stephanie Alderson paced Ozarks with a time of 26:09.03 for a 13th-place finish. Madison Sherrer followed with a time of (27:19.3, 16th), while Emily Gorham (30:13.7, 20th), Megan Wallace (34:09.5, 21st) and Amy Wallace (35:48.9, 22nd) rounded out the Lady Eagle runners.
