Tyler, Texas-The U of O women's cross country team finished eighth at the American Southwest Conference 6K championships Saturday.

Madison Sherrer paced Ozarks as its top finisher. Sherrer placed 41st overall running a 28:06. Stephanie Alderson followed placing 63rd with a time of 29:59. Nena Evans finished 67^th overall with a time of 30:53. Lynette Pina (31:30 – 70^th), Emily Gorham (32:15 – 72^nd) and Taylor Loftis (33:52 – 80^th) rounded out Ozarks' runners.

Ozarks collected 213 points for its eighth-place finish. Texas-Tyler won the race with 24 points.
