ASC Academic All-Conference Announced   

119 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-Conference Team by the American Southwest Conference.

Clarksville, Ark.-119 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-Conference Team by the American Southwest Conference, it was announced by the league office August 2.
     
To be eligible for ASC Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have been in attendance and completed at least one academic year (two consecutive semesters) at their institution. They must also have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) after the spring semester.
     
The baseball team had 19 athletes on the team: Nicholas Bennett, a sophomore accounting major from Little Elm, Texas; Ethan Cash, a sophomore management/accounting major from Maumelle, Ark.; Charlie Castagno, a freshman management major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Cole Clark, a junior health science major from Clarksville, Ark.; Raynier Ferrer, a junior business administration major from Panama; David Giacinti, a freshman health science major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Matteo Grassi, a freshman health science major from Eureka, Mo.; Kagen Kennedy, a senior business administration major from Las Vegas, Nev.; Christian Martinez, a sophomore business administration major from Dominican Republic; Juan Munoz, a freshman finance major from Panama; Isaac Pelts, a junior accounting major from Lamar, Ark.; Ramphis Perez, a freshman political science major from Panama; Isaac Price, a junior environmental studies major from Siloam Springs, Ark.; Josh Ropple, a senior business administration major from Copperas Cove, Texas; Jose Scianca, a freshman health science major from Panama; Britton Smith, a freshman management major from Cave City, Ark.; Jacob Squires, a junior sociology major from Springfield, Ark.; Langdon Townsend, a freshman management major from Bellville, Texas and Austin Turley, a sophomore health science major from Salida, Calif.     

The men's basketball team six had athletes on the team: Jacob Dukes, a junior business administration major from Frisco, Texas; Travis Gentry, a freshman biology major from Greers Ferry, Ark.; Matthew Kremers, a sophomore physical education major from Scranton, Ark.; Adam Lopez, a freshman health science major from Dallas, Texas; Luke Proctor, a freshman management major from Mountain Home, Ark. and Trae Rambeau, a freshman health science major from Temple, Texas.

The women's basketball team had ten athletes: Faith Curry, a senior health science major from Harbour Island, Bahamas; Dalena Fisher, a freshman health science major from Lawton, Okla.; Elli Garcia, a freshman health science major from Marshall, Okla.; Lili Garcia, a freshman psychology major from Red Oak, Texas; McKenzie Greeson, a sophomore health science major from Morrilton, Ark.; Kyra Hargrove, a sophomore communication studies major from Perryville, Ark.; Reagen Markham, a freshman health science major from Texarkana, Texas; Destini Powell, a junior psychology major from Minden, La.; Emalee Smith, a freshman undeclared major from Edmond, Okla. and Amanda Turpin, a junior health science major from Cypress, Texas.

The women's cross country team had six athletes on the team: Chloe Boyer, a junior health science/sociology major from Snellville, Ga.; Mileidy Espinoza, a junior political science/psychology major from Costa Rica; Alisone Guzman, a junior Health Science/Business Admin. major from El Salvador; Solena Martinez Aleman, a junior business administration/health science major from Nicaragua; Alma Ramirez, a junior psychology/communication studies from Nicaragua and Marcela Valladares, a junior psychology/business administration major from Russellville, Ark.

The men's cross country team had six athletes on the team: Colby Dorcely, a senior business administration/political science major from Haiti; Duban Figueroa, a sophomore biology major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Miguel Quisquina, a senior accounting major from Guatemala; Nathan Rankin, a senior business administration major from Plano, Texas; Benjamin Stormes, a junior biology/philosophy major from Fort Smith, Ark. and Zachary Wilson, a freshman communication studies major from Jacksonville, Ark.
     
The men's soccer team placed nine athletes on the team: Caleb Anderson, a junior accounting major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Sebastien Bathard, a senior business administration major from Haiti; Charleus Emmanuel Ritch, a senior business administration major from Haiti; Colin Cosby, a junior psychology major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Luke Clingerman, a sophomore management/accounting major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Rasto Rimbo, a freshman undeclared major from Fayetteville, Ark.; Hunter Robert, a freshman management/finance major from Montgomery, Texas; Carlos Salinas, a sophomore mathematics major from Conroe, Texas and Alex Trinidad, a senior business administration/health science major from Westminster, Colo.
     
The women's soccer team placed 16 athletes on the team: Kailey Barnes, a senior physical education major from Roanoke, Texas; Kelsey David, a senior biology major from Cabot, Ark.; Cierra Flynn, a freshman psychology/biology major from Bentonville, Ark.; Claudia Garcia, a junior elementary education major from Clarksville, Ark.; Jayden Glover, a senior biology major from Greenbrier, Ark.; Lilly Hill, a sophomore psychology major from Conway, Ark.; Grace Houchin, a sophomore health science major from Ardmore, Okla.; Cassidy Hughes, a freshman communication studies from Kennedale, Texas; Alexandra Kasper, a sophomore biology major from Poteau, Okla.; Abby Lewis, a junior health science major from Greenbrier, Ark.; Kaitlin Matt, a freshman biology major from Bentonville, Ark.; Ellie Phillips, a senior psychology major from Sacramento, Calif.; Emma Seiler, a freshman biology major from Victoria, Texas; Hannah Smith, a senior health science major from Schertz, Texas; Savannah Solloway, a freshman undeclared major from Little Rock, Ark. and Halley Wheeler, a junior psychology major from Rockwall, Texas.
     
The softball team had 13 athletes on the team: Margaret Blackstar, a freshman biology major from Ponca City, Okla.; Aryonnah Briggs, a junior psychology/business administration major from Bryant, Ark.; Allison Cowart, a junior physical education major from Bentonville, Ark.; Allyson Fultz, a junior biology/political science major from Rogers, Ark.; Morgan Haupt, a sophomore health science major from Derby, Kan.; Gracie Jones, a junior health science major from Walker, La.; Mack Lucio, a sophomore health science/psychology major from Bedford, Texas; Olivia Reed, a junior physical education major from Wentzville, Mo.; Hayley Rivett, a junior physical education major from Berryville, Ark.; Jessye Rowland, a sophomore physical education major from Bonnerdale, Ark.; Rayli Ruby, a junior biology major from Granbury, Texas; Kaylyn Soria, a senior accounting/business administration major from Angleton, Texas and Sarah Todd, a senior English major from Mayflower, Ark.

Sports information student assistants included Denzel Chaves, a sophomore communication studies/spanish major from Russellville, Ark.; Matthew Kremers, a sophomore communication studies major from Scranton, Ark.; and Sarah Bureau, a senior health science/communication studies major from Haiti.
