Clarksville, Ark.-The Howard Payne University men never really let the Eagles get close in the second half as the Yellow Jackets took a 86-69 win Monday night in American Southwest Conference play.
    
Ozarks (5-6, 3-5 ASC) hung around for most of the first half before Howard Payne (5-6, 4-1 ASC) finished the final six minutes on a 19-7 run to hold a 39-29 intermission lead. The Yellow Jackets then maintained a double-digit advantage for the entire second half. Howard Payne shot an impressive 65 percent shooting percentage from the floor in the final twenty minutes to keep Ozarks from a comeback.
    
Five different players scored in double figures for Ozarks, with Kelby Robinson leading the way with 18.  
    
Ozarks will host Mary Hardin-Baylor January 8.
