THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas – The Eagles hung around late in the game and even were tied with 7:38 left only to have McMurry take a 86-77 win Thursday night in conference play. The Eagles trailed 41-33 at halftime and never got much momentum until midway through the second half. The Eagles rallied on a 16-2 run to tie the game, 59-59, with 7:38 minutes left. But McMurry responded with a quick 8-0 run to hold the lead for good. The Eagles shot better from the field than McMurry (46% to 42%). The Eagles also hit 86 percent from the free throw line. Tylan Jackson led the Eagles with 16 points.

TURNING POINT
After the Eagles tied the contest with 7:38 remaining in the game, McMurry went on a 8-0 run to establish momentum and never let go of the lead again.
