THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas – Hardin-Simmons scored 56 points in the first half en route to a 110-78 win over the Eagles Saturday in Texas. The Cowboys shot off 40 three-point attempts in the contest, hitting 18 for 45 percent. The Cowboys went 42-of-82 (51%) from the field and hit 88 percent from the free throw line. The Eagles also had a strong shooting day, hitting 46 percent from the field, 43 percent from the three-point line and 85 percent from the free throw line. The Eagles trailed just 28-27 with eight minutes left in the first half before Hardin-Simmons finished out the half on a 28-12 run to establish momentum. Grayson Nix led the Eagles with 19 points.

TURNING POINT
Hardin-Simmons finished out the first half on a 28-12 run to hold a 56-39 halftime lead and never allowed the Eagles back into the contest in the second half.

Grayson Nix hit four three-pointers to score 19 points. Nix now has 25 three-pointers on the season.

The Eagles will now be on Christmas break and then resume play against Hendrix College December 30.
