THE BASICS
Longview, Texas-The Eagles scored first but wouldn't hold the lead again as LeTourneau University built a 51-31 halftime lead en route to a 85-68 win Thursday in conference play. LeTourneau hit 52 percent from the floor on the night, while the Eagles made 37 percent. The Eagles outscored LeTourneau 37-34 in the second half, but the deficit was too big to overcome. Grayson Nix led the Eagles with 17 points.
