Clay Target Team Starts Season Off Strong

Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks women's and men's clay target team opened the 2022-2023 season in strong fashion finishing third overall at the Drury University Shoot. 

The Eagles finished behind Lindenwood University (1640) and Drury (1591). Ozarks scored 1586. 
     
In sporting clays, Charles Priddy and Coleman Wheeler hit 90 to lead the team. In skeet, Lane Klohn hit 99 to pace the Eagles. In trap, five Eagles scoored 96 – Klohn, Wyatt McCaghren, Jacob Tucker, Lane Ward and Cameron Ziarko. In 5-stand, Ziarko hit 45 to lead the team.

Overall, McCaghren hit 323 to lead the Eagles.

Kinley Cox was the team's top female performer with a score of 276.

The Eagles will now compete in the ACUI/SCTP Regionals in Marengo, Ohio, October 5-9.
