HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark.-After a scoreless first half, the Eagles and Concordia University Texas combined for four second half goals as the match ended in a 2-2 draw Thursday. The match saw outstanding back and forth play with quality shots by both teams. The Eagles came close to scoring on at least two occasions in the first half. A shot nearly crossed over the goal line but didn't make it over. With eight minutes remaining in the first half, another shot hit off the crossbar to rob the Eagles of a score. The score would remain 0-0 at halftime. Leo Lopez eventually broke the 0-0 match with a goal in the 55th minute. Francisco Horta would answer just minutes later on a penalty kick to even the score 1-1. Concordia then took the lead on a goal in the 64th minute. Jorensky Augustin buried a shot in front of the goal off a rebound in the 85th minute to even the score 2-2. The Eagles recorded seven shots, while Concordia had six in the match.
