Clarksville, Ark.-Three members of the University of the Ozarks swim and dive team received weekly honors from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), it was announced by the conference office Wednesday (October 5).     

Sophomore Macy McPhillips was named the SCAC Women's Diver of the Week. Senior Nicolai Van Zyl was named the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week and senior Michael Vargas was named the SCAC Men's Diver of the Week.
     
McPhillips, from Clarksville, placed fifth with a score of 148.60 on the 1-meter and third with a score of 178.70 on the 3-meter board at the All-Arkansas Invite on Saturday, Sept. 17.
     
Van Zyl, from Longview, Texas, won the 50 breaststroke in 29.04, the 50 freestyle in 23.56, the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.64, and helped lead the 200 medley relay to a first-place finish at Saturday's Ozarks/Centenary dual meet.
     
At the All-Arkansas Invite, Vargas placed second on the 1-meter board with a score of 124.70. The Pasadena, Texas, native placed third on the 3-meter board with the same 124.70 score.
     
The Eagles will host Rhodes College October 7.
