Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team clinched the No. 2 seed out of the East Division in the American Southwest Conference Tournament with a 6-3 victory over East Texas Baptist University Saturday.
It is the second straight season the Eagles (10-4, 3-1 ASC) have qualified for the playoffs. Against ETBU (2-8, 0-2 ASC), the Eagles powered past the Tigers at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Todd Turner and Bishop Bass took an easy 8-1 victory at No. 1. Corey Dillard and Jacob Organ won 8-6 at No. 3. Turner and Bass won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Dillard won at No. 4 and Trevor Scott won at No. 5.
The ASC Tournament will be held in Tyler, Texas, on the campus of UT-Tyler April 23-25.
Ozarks will play one more non-conference match before heading to Tyler for the tournament. Ozarks will face Trinity University April 18 in Tyler.
