Abilene, Texas –The University of the Ozarks men's tennis team took a long road trip to Texas to play three matches against conference opponents.

The Eagles played Hardin-Simmons University, Howard Payne University and McMurry University in Abilene. The Eagles took an 8-1 win against Howard Payne, but dropped their matches against Hardin-Simmons (8-1) and McMurry (6-3).
     
Over the weekend, Angelo Ito Tost went a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles. He topped Nathaniel Schoendorf from Hardin-Simmons 6-4, 7-6. The next day he defeated Ben Blanchard from Howard Payne (3-2, retired). On Sunday, he battled to a 7-6, 8-7 win against Carlos Martinez from McMurry. He and Jonah Martinez won in doubles 8-2 against Howard Payne. The Eagles swept Howard Payne in doubles. At No. 2, Cole Lankford and TJ Saniseng defeated Gabe Benitez and Albert Hernandez 8-3. At No. 3, Bryce Johnson and Derek Nix topped Micah Hunter and Hunter Green 8-7 (7-5). In singles action against Howard Payne, Jonah Martinez won 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 3 position. Parker Morey defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot. At the No. 5 spot, Dallas Elmore defeated Hunter Green 6-3, 6-2. At the No. 6 spot, Bryce Johnson took a 8-7 (7-4) win. Against McMurry, Cole Lankford and TJ Saniseng defeated Chris Causer and Zach Miller 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Martinez defeated Zach Miller 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
