Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team opened their 2022 home spring slate with a 8-1 loss against NAIA Texas A&M-Texarkana Saturday.

In doubles play, Haruto Kanskau and Hikaru Yamaya defeated Alejandro Oviedo and Mauricio Velasco 8-7. At the No. 2 position, TJ Saniseng and Aaron Gambrell lost a hard fought 8-5 decision.

At No. 6 singles, Iker Alonso edged Jan Puvill Fuertes 5-7, 6-3, 10-3.

The Eagles will host Austin College February 27.
