Eagles Post Convincing Win Over Austin College

The Eagles posted a 9-0 win over Austin College.

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team posted a convincing 9-0 win over Austin College Sunday for its first win of the spring season.

The Eagles (1-3) swept doubles to open play and then proceeded to dominate singles action. At No. 1 doubles, Haruto Kanskau and Hikaru Yamaya defeated Luke Henley and Tate Nelson 8-3. At the No. 2 position, TJ Saniseng and Aaron Gambrell defeated William Dixon and AJ Wueste 8-4. At No. 3, Kao Lenkopane and Joshua Wilde defeated Storm Simonin and Yudai Abe 8-1. In singles No. 1, Yamaya topped Henley 6-4, 6-1. In the No. 2 position, Theo Efstathopoulos won over Nelson 6-2, 6-1. In No. 3 play, Gambrell defeated Dixon 6-0, 6-1. At the No. 4 spot, Wilde topped Simonin 6-3, 6-3. At No. 5, Jan Puvill Fuertes defeated Wueste 6-3, 6-0 and at No. 6, Nico Castells took a 6-4, 6-1 win over Abe.

The Eagles will take on UA-Fort Smith March 1 on the road.
