Men's Tennis Cruises Past Belhaven 8-1

Clarksville-The men's tennis team wrapped up regular season play with a 8-1 win over Belhaven University Saturday in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Eagles (7-10, 2-1 ASC) will now prepare for the Southwest Conference Championship Tournament held in Austin, Texas, May 5-7. The Eagles won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles and then swept all six singles matches. At No. 2 doubles, Hikaru Yamaya and Kao Lenkopane defeated Jason Ball and Matthew Ridden 8-1. At the No. 3 position, Joshua Wilde and Griffin Huckelbury topped Cainan Black and Tom Borgioli 8-1. At No. 1 singles, Hikaru Yamaya defeated Gaspar Meda 4-3 in a retired win. At the No. 2 spot, Aaron Gambrell defeated Bryce Livingston 6-1, 1-6, 6-2. At the No. 3 spot, Theo Efstathopoulos defeated Matthew Ridden 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. At the No. 4 position, Joshua Wilde topped Jason Ball 6-3, 6-1. At the No. 5 spot, Jan Puvill Fuertes defeated Cainan Black 6-1, 6-2 and at the No. 6 position, Kao Lenkopane topped Tom Borgioli 6-1, 6-1.
