Men's Tennis Ends Season In Tournament

Aaron Gambrell and the Eagles lost in the ASC Tournament.

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team ended its season at the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament after a 5-0 loss against Hardin-Simmons University Friday in Austin, Texas.

The Eagles end the season 7-11 overall and qualified for the Tournament for the eighth straight season. Hardin-Simmons (12-7) swept doubles play to begin the match taking a quick 3-0 lead. At No. 1 doubles, Alex Pavkovich and Desmond O'Shea defeated TJ Saniseng and Aaron Gambrell 8-3. At the No. 2 spot, Nathaniel Schoendorf and James Moore defeated Nico Castells and Hikaru Yamaya 8-4. At the No. 3 position, Davyn Williford and Josh Lopez defeated Joshua Wilde and Griffin Huckelbury 8-0.  
     
At No. 1 singles, Alex Pavkovich won against Hikaru Yamaya 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2, Nathaniel Schoendorf was ahead of Aaron Gambrell 6-0, 3-2. At No. 3, James Moore was ahead of Theo Efstathopoulos 6-0, 4-1. At No. 4, Desmond O'Shea was ahead of Joshua Wilde 6-3, 4-2. At No. 5, Davyn Williford defeated Jan Puvill Fuertes 6-0, 6-2. No. 6 singles went unfinished as Josh Lopez took on Kao Lenkopane.
