Tigers Edge Eagles In ASC Action

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team had a tough 5-4 against conference foe East Texas Baptist University Saturday.

The Tigers opened the day with a pair of wins in doubles play. At the No. 3 spot, Kao Lenkopane and Joseph Guidry battled to a 7-6 (10-5) win. Lenkopane and Guidry took that momentum into singles as both posted wins. At No. 4, Lenkopane defeated Slade Austin 7-5, 6-1 and Guidry, at No. 6. took a 6-7, 6-4, 11-9 over  Jacob Daniell. Kento Iwaharadefeated Bruno Brocanelli 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 at the No. 2 position, but it wouldn't be enough as the Tigers escaped with a win.

The Eagles will travel to Oklahoma Wesleyan April 3 and then host Howard Payne University April 7 for Senior Day.
