Men's Track Completes ASC Championships; Rankin Named All-Conference

Nathan Rankin runs at the ASC Championships today and was named All-Conference.

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's track team wrapped up competition at the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Championships in Abilene, Texas, today.

Nathan Rankin earned All-Conference Second Team in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. On Saturday, the Eagles had five compete in the 1500-meter. Rankin was the team's top finisher at tenth. He posted a time of 4:18.28. Daniel Sanderson placed 13th with a time of 4:23.35. Skyler Thomas was 17th with a time of 4:31.04. Nathan Duncan ran a 4:39.49 for 20th place and Zachary Wilson was 24th with a time of 5:25.50. In the 800-meter, Andrew Duncan placed sixth with a time of 2:03.29. Five Eagles competed in the 5,000-meter with Rankin finishing as the top Eagle. Rankin ran a 16:42.68 for seventh place. Miguel Quisquina was 17th with a time of 18:23.09. Baltazar Garcia was 21st with a time of 19:07.18. Ashton Arnold was 22nd with a time of 19:36.74 and Nathan Duncan was 23rd with a time of 19:41.73. The Eagles placed sixth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:37.98. The team was comprised of Tavion Dickenson, Thomas, Benjamin Stormes and Duncan.

The Eagles scored 17 points and placed seventh overall at the Championships.
