Clarksville, Ark. -- University of the Ozarks student-athletes Colby Dorcely and Duban Figueroa made the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Team, it was announced Wednesday (May 31).
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Dorcely, a native of Haiti, is a recent Summa Cum Laude honors graduate. Dorcely majored in Business Administration and Political Science and was accepted into Columbia University graduate school. Dorcely received American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference honors and was a member of the university's President's List multiple semesters during his time at Ozarks. Figueroa, a native of Fort Smith, is a sophomore Biology major. He received American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference honors and was a member of the university's President's List in 2023.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a significant contributor to the team (having competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions), and be enrolled at the institution for at least 12 months.
