  • Eagle Features: A Student Perspective

    Clarksville, Ark.-Nine University of the Ozarks students recently wrote feature stories on current student-athletes at University of the Ozarks. Under the direction of Professor Susan Edens, the students wrote the content and produced pictures/video of the featured student-athletes. The project was part of Edens' Fall 2022 Sports Broadcasting Class. The content was posted on the Athletic Department social media channels.

    Clarksville, Ark.-Anthony J. “Tony” Skiles, who has more than 10 years of collegiate head coaching experience, has been named the new men’s and women’s cross country and track coach at University of the Ozarks, Athletics Director Jimmy Clark announced Monday.
  • Eagles Finish 19th At NCAA III Regional

    Geneva, Ill.-The Eagles capped the 2022 running season by finishing 19th overall at the 8k NCAA III Regional in Geneva, Illinois, Saturday. Seven Eagles ran in the race. Nathan Rankin paced the Eagles with a 26:04.0 for 39th place. Baltazar Garcia followed with a 27:28.4 for 99th place. Daniel Sanderson was next with a 28:11.4 for 134th.  Skyler Thomas ran a 28:56.8 for 156th place. Miguel Quisquina was in the 164th spot after running a 29:22.6. Ashton Arnold ran a 29:30.3 for 171st and Nathan Duncan Jr. ran a 30:21.1 for 185th place.
  • Eagles Place Three In Top-25 At ASC Championships

    Marshall, Texas-The Eagles competed in the American Southwest Conference Championships Saturday in Marshall, Texas, and finished fifth overall. Under cloudy skies and wet coarse conditions, the 8K race saw Graeme Maclean win with a time of 25:34.5. The Eagles had three runners finish among the top-25. Nathan Rankin once again paced the Eagles with a ninth-place finish to earn All-Conference. Rankin ran a 26:44.0. Baltazar Garcia was next with a time of 27:26.6 for 15th place. Daniel Sanderson followed with a time of 28:05.5 for 23rd place. Skyler Thomas ran a 28:43.7 for 39th place. Miguel Quisquina ran a 28:47.3 for 41st place. Nathan Duncan posted a time of 29:52.2 for 58th place. Ashton Arnold ran a 30:01.0 for 60th place. Cesar Rodriguez posted a time of 30:17.9 for 64th place. Benjamin Stormes ran a 31:05.4 for 72nd place.  Duban Figueroa ran a 31:33.4 for 75th place. Tavion Dickenson posted a time of 33:58.0 for 82nd place. Zachary Wilson was 86th with a time of 35:47.7.

    Richardson, Texas – The 2022 American Southwest Conference cross country championships are set for Saturday (Oct. 29). The races will take place at the Course of Marshall City Arena and is being hosted by East Texas Baptist University.

  • Eagles Finish As Runner-Up; Nathan Rankin Wins Race

    The Eagles finished as runner-up at the 8k East Texas Baptist University Tiger Invitational Friday night and senior Nathan Rankin won the race with a time of 25:52.9. The Eagles had three others finish among the top-20. Daniel Sanderson placed eighth overall with a time of 27:54.2.  Skyler Thomas was 14th with a time of 28:24.5. Miguel Quisquina was 16th with a time of 28:34.0. Ashton Arnold ran a 30:08.4 for 25th place. Nathan Duncan Jr. ran a 31:00.7 for 30th place. Duban Figueroa ran a 31:42.3 for 32nd place. Cesar Rodriguez ran a 33:23.6 for 41st place. Tavion Dickerson posted a time of 35:07.5 for 46th place and Zachary Wilson ran a 35:20.7 for 47th place.

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles hosted the 8K U of O Invitational on a beautiful Saturday morning and finished fourth overall. Three Eagles finished among the top-15. Ouachita Baptist University won the race with 42 points. Nathan Rankin once again paced the Eagles finishing as runner-up in the race. He ran a 26:29.8. Baltazar Garcia followed with a time of 27:59.2 for 11th place. Daniel Sanderson ran a 28:17.5 for 15th place. Skyler Thomas posted a time of 28:34.1 for 19th place. Miguel Quisquina ran a 28:48.0 for 24th place. Nathan Duncan Jr. ran a 29:32.7 for 31st place. Ashton Arnold ran a 30:12.3 for 36th place. Cesar Rodriguez ran a 30:30.5 for 41st place. Benjamin Stormes ran a 31:07.0 for 45th place. Duban Figueroa ran a 31:27.3 for 47th place. Tavion Dickenson ran a 35:02.2 for 63rd place and Zachary Wilson ran a 37:11.6 for 67th place. All race times for all participants are unofficial.

Nathaneal Rankin once against paced the Eagles running a 26:20.10 for 23rd place. Baltazar Garcia followed running a 27:46.60 for 41st place. Miguel Quisquina ran a 28:59.50 for 57th place. Nathan Duncan Jr. placed 58th after running a 29:00.70. Skyler Thomas ran a 29:09.30 for 61st place. Daniel Sanderson ran a 29:33.00 for 64th place. Duban Figueroa ran a 31:28.40 for 82nd place. Benjamin Stormes ran a 31:38.50 for 85th place. Ashton Arnold ran a 32:26.60 for 91st place. Colby Dorcely ran a 32:46.10 for 95th place. Zachary Wilson ran a 36:19.80 for 105th place. Tavion Dickenson ran a 37:24.70 for 107th place.

    Memphis, Tenn.-The Eagles placed eighth at the 8K Rhodes College Invitational Saturday in Memphis. Nathan Rankin placed tenth overall with a time of 26:34.8 to lead the Eagles. He was the top NCAA III runner at the race. Baltazar Garcia followed finishing 47th overall with a time of 28:40.8. Daniel Sanderson placed 54th with a time of 28:56.6. Miguel Quisquina ran a 29:15.2 for 63rd. Skyler Thomas ran a 29:55.9 for 78th. Nathan Duncan ran a 30:09.5 for 83rd. Duban Figueroa ran a 31:36.7 for 101st. Cesar Rodriguez ran a 31:58.8 for 103rd. Benjamin Stormes ran a 33:02.2 for 106th. Ashton Arnold ran a 34:21.1 for 114th. Colby Dorcely ran a 36:46.8 for 119th and Tavion Dickenson ran a 36:53.0 for 120th.

    The Eagles placed third at the 5K Ouachita Baptist University Bob Gravett Invitational Saturday in Arkadelphia. Both teams that finished ahead of the Eagles were NCAA II schools. The Eagles had four runners in the top-25.  Nathan Rankin paced the Eagles with a sixth-place finish running a 15:59.0. Baltazar Garcia ran a 16:57.1 for 19th place. Skyler Thomas ran a 17:18.1 for 23rd place.  Miguel Quisquina ran a 17:29.0 for 25th place.  Ashton Arnold ran a 17:33.7 for 26th place. Nathan Duncan ran 18:09.7 for 29th place. Duban Figueroa ran a 18:22.8 for 34th place. Benjamin Stormes ran a 18:34.5 for 35th place. Cesar Rodriguez ran a 18:58.8 for 38th place. Colby Dorcely ran a 19:41.2 for 43rd place. Zachary Wilson ran a 19:43.1 for 44th place.
