GAME ONE
Overview:
Clarksville, Ark.- Howard Payne University took game three of the series 8-0 on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets scored one run in the first inning and the score remained 1-0 until the fourth when the Yellow Jackets added six more runs. In the third, the Eagles had two runners in scoring position with one out but couldn't scratch across a run. In the fourth, the Eagles loaded the bases with two outs, but Howard Payne escaped without allowing any runs. The Eagles went hitless in six tries with runners in scoring position. The Eagles three seniors – Allie Shero, Kaylyn Soria and Sarah Todd – were honored prior to the game.
