Eagles Lead Early, Fall To Tigers In Game Three

GAME THREE
Overview:
Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles started strong in the first inning scoring three runs, but No. 10 East Texas Baptist University rallied for a 8-3 win in game three. The Eagles collected four hits in the first frame. Mack Lucio started the offense with a single. Allison Cowart later followed with another single. Hayley Rivett then ripped a single to right field that the right fielder misplayed and Rivett ended up at third base to allow both runs to score. Allie Shero hit a single through the left side of the infield to score Rivett and the Eagles led 3-0. The Tigers got one run back in the second. The Tigers blasted a two-run homer in the third to even the score and then scratched across another run to lead 4-3. The Tigers added an insurance run in the fifth for a 5-3 lead. The Tigers' offense was steady in the latter part of the game to secure the contest. The Eagles got runners on board in the bottom of the sixth, but couldn't push them across.
