THE BASIC
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles stormed back from a fourth quarter deficit to take the lead only to have Belhaven escape with a 78-74 win in non-conference play Saturday. The Eagles trailed 62-54 early in the fourth quarter, but took a narrow lead with less than five minutes to play. Eventually, Belhaven took the lead back, 76-74, with 40 seconds left. The Blazers would steal the ball on the Eagles next offensive possession and were sent to the free throw line with 14 seconds left. Missing both free throw shots, the Eagles had the ball with 13 seconds remaining to tie or take the lead. However, the Blazers forced another turnover and scored an easy layup to go up by four points. The Eagles suffered from 23 turnovers in the game. Amanda Turpin and Lili Garcia paced the Eagles with 12 points.

TURNING POINT
Belhaven had back-to-back steals in the final moments just as the Eagles had a chance to tie or take the lead. The Eagles came up empty on their final four offensive possessions.

Lili Garcia had 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Eagles.
