THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas – No. 23 Hardin-Simmons built a 49-20 halftime lead and the Eagles never recovered as the Cowgirls won 82-48 Saturday in Texas. The Cowgirls pulled down 62 rebounds and had 32 second chance points to overwhelm the Eagles. The Eagles hit 26 percent from the field in the game, while Hardin-Simmons hit 39 percent. Amanda Turpin led the Eagles with ten points. Hardin-Simmons won in the paint outscoring the Eagles 50-18.
