THE BASICS
Austin, Texas – The Eagles started the game strong only to have Concordia come back for a 82-68 win Thursday night. The Eagles opened the first quarter with a 21-18 lead, but Concordia battled back to hold a 43-35 halftime advantage. The two teams went back-and-forth in the third quarter with Concordia leading 62-48 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, a Lili Garcia jump shot pulled the Eagles within 62-53. A three-pointer from Dalena Fisher cut it to 68-60. But Concordia scored 13 points in the final five minutes to secure the win. Amanda Turpin led the Eagles with 13 points.
