THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – East Texas Baptist University claimed a 77-55 win over the Eagles Thursday night behind a strong inside performance. The Tigers grabbed 43 rebounds in the game and scored 38 points in the paint while shooting 49 percent from the field. The Tigers held a 38-28 lead at halftime. The Eagles made a run to open the fourth quarter. Heaven Hayden drilled a three-pointer with 7:01 left to cut the deficit to 63-50. But the Tigers responded to build a lead later as the Eagles' run came a little too late in the game. Amanda Turpin led the Eagles with 14 points.
