McKenzie Greeson Named Academic All-District

McKenzie Greeson was named Academic All-District.

Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks sophomore McKenzie Greeson was named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Basketball Academic All-District Team, it was announced this week.

CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.

Greeson, a health science major from Morrilton, Ark., was a member of the American Southwest Conference (ASC) All-Academic Team last season. The 5-foot-7 guard ranked third in the ASC in three-pointers per game (1.8) and averaged 7.8 points per game. She hit 42-of-119 (35.3%) from the three-point line and now has 77 career three-pointers. She made 32-of-37 (86.5%) from the free throw line and hit a three-pointer in 18 games during the 2022-23 season. Greeson has been on the Dean's List multiple semesters at Ozarks.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a significant contributor to the team (having played in at least 50 percent of the team's games), and be enrolled at the institution for at least 12 months.
