Carl Albart Escapes With Win

Hayden Rofkahr had a win by decision against Carl Albert.

Poteau, Okla.-Carl Albert State escaped with a 27-21 win over the Eagles in a dual Thursday night. 

The Eagles appeared to be headed for the win, but Carl Albert secured a couple of wins late to record a home victory. Shelton Chastain started the dual with a win by fall at 125. Hayden Rofkahr later followed with a win by decision at 149. The Eagles then won three more matches in a row to take momentum. At 157, Jaylen York posted a win by decision. Cameron Cook won by fall at 165. John Ward won by decision at 174. From that point, however, the Eagles wouldn't win again as the Vikings finished the dual with three wins.

The Eagles now prepare for the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational January 27-28 in Illinois.
