HOW IT HAPPENED
In perhaps their best performance of the young season, the Eagles tied NAIA Southwestern Christian University 0-0 on Friday afternoon. The Eagles came out strong controlling the match and playing harder than Southwestern Christian. The backline for the Eagles had a strong effort knocking away scoring chances throughout the match. Grace Houchin was outstanding in goal recording a shutout thanks to eight saves. But Southwestern Christian had two shots bounce off the post in the first half to keep the game tied. The Eagles created scoring opportunities behind three corner kicks and five shots. In the end, Southwestern Christian fired off 13 shots, but Houchin was on her game and didn't allow a goal.
