HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark.-Just when it appeared the Eagles would get a big Senior Day and Homecoming win, LeTourneau University scored with less than three minutes remaining to end the game in a 1-1 tie. Halley Wheeler scored on a beautiful free kick goal from 25 yards out to put the Eagles ahead 1-0 in the 38th minute. The Eagles used that momentum and the push from a large home crowd to lead up until a LeTourneau goal. The Eagles fought off seven corner kicks from LeTourneau and got a pair of spectacular saves from goalkeeper Grace Houchin. In the second half, the Eagles created five shots to put pressure on the LeTourneau defense. But it was LeTourneau that had a clutch goal to even the score. The Eagles outshot LeTourneau 9-7 in the game. Following the game, the athletic department honored the team's nine seniors as part of a Senior Celebration Ceremony.
