Four Women's Soccer Players Named All-Conference

Four women's soccer players received All-Conference honors.

Clarksville, Ark.- The American Southwest Conference has announced the 2022 Women's Soccer All-Conference Team and four University of the Ozarks players received recognition, it was released recently.
     
Senior midfielder Jessica Alvarado and senior midfielder Kailey Barnes made the All-ASC Third Team. Junior defender Mason Faucher and sophomore goalkeeper Grace Houchin were named to the Honorable Mention Team. 

Alvarado, a native of Springdale, led the team and ranked fourth in the ASC with six assists. Avarado took ten shots and finished with six points. She ends her career with four goals, 12 assists and 72 shots in 58 games. Her 12 career assists place her fourth all-time at Ozarks. She is sixth all-time in career shots. She finishes her career as a three-time All-Conference performer.

Barnes, a native of Roanoke, Texas, started in all 16 games for the Eagles and scored one goal and recorded one assist. She also had 12 shots. Barnes started in 56 games during her career and finished with three career goals and 43 career shots. She ends her career as a four-time All-Conference performer. 

Faucher, a native of Sachse, Texas, played in all 16 games scoring three goals and recording six shots. Behind her strong defensive play, Faucher helped the Eagles' defense record three shutouts. She started in 15 games in 2022 and now has four career goals.

Houchin, a native of Ardmore, Okla., led the ASC in saves with 83 and saves per game (5.53). Houchin played 1260 minutes in goal over 16 matches while posting two shutouts. She had a pair of wins and four ties on the season. Houchin had a number of highlight reel saves during the season.
