HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark.-In a match that could have gone either way, Hendrix College managed a goal in the 71st minute to edge the Eagles 1-0 Wednesday. The hard-fought battle was back-and-forth the whole game with both teams creating scoring chances. The Eagles controlled the first half taking four shots and limiting Hendrix to just one. The Eagles continued to create scoring opportunities in the second half as Mason Faucher had a quality shot followed by another shot from Taliana Schmidt in the 55th minute. About seven minutes later Schmidt had a shot in front of the goal, but Hendrix goalkeeper Lewis Kennedy was in the right place at the right time to record a save. The Eagles remained on the attack the rest of the match but couldn't connect on a goal. The Eagles owned a 12-5 shots advantage in the game and a 5-2 corner kicks advantage. The Eagles forced Kennedy into making five saves.
