Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks swim and dive team swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) weekly awards, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday (November 15).     

Sophomore Macy McPhillips was named the SCAC Women's Diver of the Week and senior Rosie Wade was named the SCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week. Senior Nicolai Van Zyl was named the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week and senior Michael Vargas was named the SCAC Men's Diver of the Week.
     
McPhillips, from Clarksville, won both the 1-meter five-dive and six-dive sets with scores of 137 and 187, respectively, in Saturday's home dual meet victory over Austin College. It is her second honor of the season.

Wade, from Clarksville, won the 1,000 free, 200 fly, and 100 free in 11:30.94, 2:26.87, and 57.03, respectively, in leading the Eagles to victory in Saturday's home dual meet against Austin College. She also came from behind with an anchor of 25.81 to secure the win in the 200 free relay.
     
Van Zyl, from Longview, Texas, won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes in 1:03.10 and 2:23.48, respectively, at Saturday's home dual against Austin College. Additionally, he split 27.86 on the breaststroke leg of the second place 200 medley relay and anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay in 22.82 to help secure the team victory. It is his second honor of the season.
     
Vargas, from Pasadena, Texas, won the 1-meter event in Saturday's dual meet against Austin College, posting a five-dive score of 116. It is his second honor of the season.

The Eagles will compete in the Rhodes College Winter Invite November 18-20 in Cleveland, Mississippi.
