Clarksville, Ark.-The women's tennis team picked up their first American Southwest Conference win with a 8-1 victory over Louisiana College Monday afternoon.
Ozarks (1-4, 1-3 ASC) gained three wins in doubles to start the day. Whitney Lewis and Macie Kelley won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. Kalli Simpson and Mollie Wilkinson won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Ozarks would pick up a win by default at No. 3 doubles.
Ozarks then won at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Simpson, Kelley and Megan Wallace each won their respective singles matches 6-0, 6-0. The Lady Eagles would also pick up default wins at No. 5 and No. 6. Louisiana College falls to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the ASC.
Ozarks will host John Brown University March 13 and Mary Hardin-Baylor and Centenary College March 15. "Senior Day" is set for Saturday's match as Marcus Bobb, Scott Eibes, Macie Kelley, Whitney Lewis, Kalli Simpson and Michael Skimbo will be honored.
