Pineville, La.-The women's tennis team opened American Southwest Conference play with a dominating 8-1 win over Louisiana College Saturday in Pineville, La.
The Lady Eagles (1-6, 1-0 ASC) swept singles play. In No. 1 singles, Mollie Wilkinson won 6-1, 6-0 and at No. 2 Megan Wallace defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Josey Love continued winning at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, while LeAnan White posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. In the No. 5 position, Mary Grace Piker won 6-2, 6-0 and at No. 6 Andrea Caselles edged her opponent 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles play, Wilkinson and Wallace won easily in the No. 1 position 8-0. At No. 2 doubles, Love and White won 8-1.
Ozarks will host John Brown University April 2.
