Women's Tennis Team Drops Spring Opener

Austin, Texas-The University of the Ozarks women's tennis team was unable to secure a victory over Sul Ross State University in their season opener by a score of 8-1 on Friday.

The Eagles took a 3-0 loss in doubles as the number one pairing of Imani Doyle and Alexis Rogers were defeated 8-1. Kirsten Endicott and Tori Woods picked up a few games, but lost 8-4. In the singles contests, Alexis Rogers narrowly lost in a third set tiebreaker (2-6, 6-0, 10-8), and Tori Woods was upset in a second set tiebreaker (6-1, 7-6 (5)). Kirsten Endicott picked up a victory over Jade Bravo by default.

The Eagles will continue play in Austin with a doubleheader against Howard Payne University and Concordia University Texas on February 10th.
