Eagles Take Narrow 4-3 Win

The Eagles won a narrow 4-3 match against Evangel University Saturday.

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's tennis team traveled to Springfield, Missouri, to take on Evangel University and came away with a narrow 4-3 win Saturday.

In singles play, Annie Nelligan defeated Alexia Phipps 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 3 position. At the No. 4 spot, Tatum Hatridge defeated Carly McAfee 6-2, 6-1. At the No. 6 position, Anna Ryan defeated Bethany Overturf 6-3, 7-5. In No. 1 doubles, Yadira Rodriguez and Tatum Hatridge defeated Abigail Chaney and Carly McAfee 6-3. At No. 3 doubles, Jessica Gayle and Anna Ryan defeated Neely Bridges and Courtney Yates 6-3.

The Eagles will travel to Conway to face Hendrix College March 8.
