Conway, Ark.-The women's tennis team opened the 2022 spring season Saturday against Hendrix College and Ouachita Baptist in Conway.
The Eagles dropped the match against Hendrix 8-1 in the morning and then lost 9-0 against Ouachita Baptist. Against Hendrix, Kelsey Smith and Sedalia Shumaker narrowly lost 8-6 at the No. 3 position. The Warriors swept doubles play. In singles, Tatum Hatridge won at No. 2 6-2, 6-4.
Against Ouachita Baptist, Smith and Shumaker batted to a 8-4 loss. The Tigers ended up winning all three doubles matches and all six singles matches.
The Eagles will play Dallas Baptist in Conway February 10.
