Eagles Cruise Past Dallas 9-0

Emily Saniseng helped the Eagles to their first win of the spring season.

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's tennis team posted its first win of the spring season with a 9-0 victory over University of Dallas on Monday afternoon. 

The Eagles started the match a pair of impressive wins in doubles. Annie Nelligan and Tatum Hatridge easily won 8-0 at the No. 1 position. At the No. 2 spot, Lea Terrell and Sedalia Shumaker won 8-1. The Crusaders had to forfeit at the No. 3 spot and the Eagles went into singles ahead 3-0. Hatridge, playing the No. 1 spot, defeated Claire Jandrain 6-1, 6-0. At the No. 2 position, Lea Terrell defeated Arianna Menchaca 6-1, 6-0. Emily Saniseng won at No. 3 6-0, 6-1 against Sanskriti Baranwal. And at the No. 4 position, Kelsey Smith defeated Caroline Dodson 6-0, 6-3. The Eagles picked up forfeit wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions.

The Eagles will host Sterling College March 14.
